I was checking out some of the blogs I follow and noticed this book tag post from alittlebutalot inviting others to take part! So I thought well, I ADORE coffee and books, so it makes sense to do one too! Here it goes!
1. Black Americano: A book that’s hard to get into but has hardcore fans.
I’m going to go with Lord Of The Rings. I actually haven’t read ANY of the books yet and I will definitely get round to it. I guess I have always felt a tad intimated by it, hence why I haven’t even attempted to start them!
2. Peppermint Mocha: A book that gets more popular around Winter.
This is tough because I am not a christmas person at all but I’m going to go with The Snowman. I probably read this as a child? I think everyone has!
3. Hot Chocolate: Your favourite children’s book.
Ah, this is easy. A Series of Unfortunate Events by Lemony Snicket. Okay, so some might say that these books aren’t for children. Well, I disagree. I would read these books over and over again till I knew them off by heart. They are still my favorite today! (Currently re-reading them!)
4. Double Espresso: A book that kept you on the edge of your seat from start to finish.
SUPER EASY. The Millenium series by Stieg Larsson. Only Larsson’s work (love David Lagercrantz but it’s not the same) I remember reading the last in the trilogy and I was reading for nearly 4 hours straight because I had to know what happened at the end. The books were so, so addictive and imaginative. The universe that Larsson had created was simply amazing and so complex that it was hard to put these books down!
5. Starbucks: A book you see everywhere.
HARRY POTTER. It’s everywhere at the moment! And it brings my heart with joy everytime I do see it!
6. That Hipster Coffee Shop: Give a book by an Indie author a shout out.
I’m trying to use my brain to work out if I have read any books from an indie author!? But I’m going to go with Danika Stone who wrote Internet Famous. I won her competition on Twitter and received a copy of the book and some super lovely gifts! She is an amazing writing and has such talent! I can’t wait to read more of her books in the future!
7. Oops! I accidentally got Decaf: A book you expected more from.
Three Dark Crowns… I had hyped this up so much for myself and couldn’t wait to read it and when I did I felt so, so extremely disappointed. But I have hopes, but not too high, for One Dark Throne! Check out my book review to see why I was disappointed!
8. The Perfect Blend: A book/series that was bittersweet but ultimately satisfying.
The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern *sighs* so perfectly written and took my breath away. I still think about the journey..and the ending. I don’t think I’ll ever forget about it. *wipes away tears*
9. A Cup of Tea: Your favourite classic.
I recently read Jane Eyre and I fell in love. It was so powerful and oh so romantic that I could not put the book down! Please, please read this and I promise that you won’t regret it!
10. Flat White: Your favourite book that isn’t a novel.
I don’t read a lot of non-fiction and I should really change that but I have read two this year! I am going to with Reasons To Stay Alive as someone that suffers from anxiety this book really spoke out to me and made me release, through all my bad days that I have, there is always hope!
I’m going to tag a few people but feel free to do one yourself – they are super fun!
